[T4M] Nazi Zombies Remastered (Der Riese, Shi No Numa, Nacht) [3/4 Complete] in Mods Releases - Page 1 of 4 (2023)

A mod by John_Banana

Project start: 07/30/2020

Description
This mod, currently only for Shi No Numa and Der Riese, is a "remastered patch" for the stock WaW maps. The other maps are still in the works! The goal of this project is to mod the standard WaW maps with bug fixes, quality of life improvements, fixed inconsistencies, and some new features inspired by Black Ops 1. At the same time, the mods don't try to completely overhaul each map, they have intended to serve as a more refined "alternative vanilla" experience.

Due to the nature of WaW modding, it was easier to give each map its own mod file. Just launch the desired map from your mod list and hit play on the menu. This also works in co-op, just make sure all players have the same mod version started and T4M installed!

Last update: Shi No Numa now has a 4 player BO1 style Easter Egg Hunt. Use "dev_quest 1" on console to play solo

Full list of changes

Usually

  • Added achievement completion notifications for Shi No Numa and The Giant, which were originally only available on the console version. Switchable in game options.
  • Added screen vibration when breaking and repairing barriers, similar to future zombie games.
  • When repairing barriers, the dot sound effect only plays when you're actively gaining +10, similar to future zombie games.
  • Electric traps now have a 30 on / 30 off cycle, similar to future zombie games. On Shi No Numa, however, the cooldown is kept longer for balance reasons, but now only at 60 seconds.
  • Stinger sound effect when picking up wonder weapons is now programmed, like future zombie games, instead of VOX. Fixes issues where it would sometimes not play.
  • I slightly increased the volume of the Easter Egg music.

[fence]

Players and Characters

  • The player appears as a random character on the ground, with hands, guns, and the appropriate colored dot from a first-person perspective.
    • Dempsey - Colt - Navy bare hands with sleeves rolled up - taken from campaign
    • Nikolai - Tokarev - Russian jacket sleeves with custom taupe, Soviet buttons and extra blood splatter - Released from campaign
    • Takeo -- Nambu -- Japanese jacket sleeves with custom blue-gray color -- edited in multiplayer
    • Richtofen -- Walther -- German beige sleeves and black gloves recolored from "Black Cats" pilot's hands -- published by Campaign
  • Splash damage is the same on all maps using Der Riese's system (no instant damage).
  • Increased back and sideways movement speed to better match WA console.
  • Optimized racing animation from the first person perspective. The weapon now swings instead of just crouching, which looks better and is similar to future zombie games.
  • Improved bleed time from 30 seconds to 45 seconds like future zombie games.
  • Added unused sniper pickup VOX from game files.
  • Added unused Dog Kill VOX found in game files with a 25% chance to be played on kill.
  • Added unused VOX that plays when a player falls.
  • Added the unused VOX cooldown, which has about a 50% chance to play during an *empty* LMG heavy cooldown, with a 1-2 minute cooldown to prevent repeats (boosts atmosphere, but can also be useful for teammates).
  • Added unused Pain VOX that plays roughly 75% of the time a player is damaged.
  • Added the unused VOX drill that plays approximately 75% of the time a player damages a zombie in melee and 100% of the time a player kills a zombie in melee (unless another VOX dialogue is queued, in which case the exercise mutes the sound) .
  • Added multiple unused VOX lines that play after a player revives instead of just switching between 2 possible lines.
  • Added unused Takeo Panzershrek VOX.
  • It only unlocked some unused VOX lines for weapons that were never loaded into scripts but were included in sound aliases (MP40, BAR, Shotgun, Wunderwaffe, Monkey Bomb).
  • Reworked "Out of Money" and VOX sounds for items that can be purchased when a player does not have enough points:
    • Wall Guns: You now have the option to say an unused VOX line, the default VOX moan, or nothing at all.
    • Mystery Box: You now have the option to say two unused VOX lines, the default VOX lament, or nothing at all. Also added No Purchase sound effect, the same sound that plays when you can't buy a weapon or a door in the wall.
    • Perk/PaP: Now has the option to play the VOX wail instead of just playing the VOX dialog to make it less repetitive.
  • VOX interactions are disabled in solo mode to prevent absent characters from speaking.
  • VOX is disabled in the Solo Last state.
  • Leaning while crouching has been disabled to fix a bug.
  • Player respawn does not reset FOV to 65.
  • The view file is no longer reset during gameplay, so the map now looks the same as it does when played.

[fence]

HUD

  • The exact hand grenade icon replaces the American Mk2 grenade icon.
  • Updated the Monkey Bomb icon to be more recognizable while still using the grayscale WA icon art style.
  • Perk and power-up icons have been updated with accurate, higher-resolution versions.
  • (T4M) Pressing the tab on the ground now shows the score.
  • (console command) "health_hud" can be used to enable or disable a health counter that takes effect after a reboot. Intended for testing/development purposes.

[fence]

menu and settings

  • Added solo play button to the main menu that automatically plays the loaded map. This also prevents the player from accidentally starting the wrong map.
  • Reworked main menu to remove non-zombie mode related buttons and links. Also added a reminder for all players to install T4M before playing co-op.
  • Added character biographies that were only present in the console version. Slight grammar fixes and layout design changes to make it more PC compatible.
  • Added a map information page that includes an image and description of the loaded map (this information is no longer accessible due to "Home Button" changes).
  • All-new settings including an FOV slider, FPS settings, controller assist settings, game type/AI options, and toggle for HUD, achievements, and fog, all accessible from the main menu or pause menu.

[fence]

benefits and powers

  • Quick Revive now works on its own, details are as follows: 3 lives until machine despawns, player equips their upgraded starter gun while idle (or ray gun if applicable), takes 10 seconds to revive, and Zombies run away from the players at the last point. Added a progress bar that goes well with WaW's visual style.
  • Perks have a proper clue sequence on each card, and Rapid Revive is no longer offered just as a Revive.
  • Jugger Nog's abilities and regeneration are the same on all maps, taking advantage of Der Riese.
  • Carpenter available on all maps (Disabled when playing on Classic game type setting for high level players).
  • Max Ammos now reloads gear on all maps (Bouncer Betties and Molotovs).
  • Slightly increased instant kill loop sound.
  • Changes in two points:
    • Carpenters and Nukes are now affected by double active points, which can give +800 and +400 respectively.
    • Collecting 2 colons at once now stacks, giving x4 points, like the first WaW cards (rare case). This x4 scale works with kills, barrier repairs, and other buffs.

[fence]

Workload

  • There are 9 new campaign/multiplayer WaW weapons that have never been seen in Zombies. From the looks of it, all of the default weapons in WaW are now available in some form through this mod.
  • All cards share the same weapon loadouts, with the following exceptions:
    • Shi No Numa has Arisaka instead of Kar98k
    • Each of the 4 maps has a unique scoped rifle in the Mystery Box.
    • Unique Wonder Weapons like the Wonder Weapon or the Monkey Bomb remain on their original cards.
  • This means that weapons in stats or attachments do not differ between maps.

[fence]

Added weapons (all from WaW)

All official sounds, effects, stats, and textures were used for new updated variants where available; otherwise, custom versions had to be created (described where applicable).

starting guns
potro m1911 /Tokarev T-33/Type 14 Number/Walter P38(The 3 new pistols serve as starting weapons for non-US heroes)
- All have identical stats and explosive gun upgrades.
- Not in Mystery Box, only available via standard build loadout
- (Walther) Removed the first hoist animation to be consistent with other pistols.
- (Improved) Spare ammo increased from 40 to 42, so it's actually divisible by the magazine capacity (6)
- (Improved) Custom camos made in the Treyarch style with the official textures
- (Updated) They all have unique names, either in in-jokes or easter eggs related to the weapon faction.
- (Updated) Changed the _lastshot animation so that the gun doesn't slide back and then forward.
- (Updated) Added mouth flash effects.
- (Update) Added unused PaP sounds (to make the 4 updated guns sound unique) and grenade sound on impact
- (Improved) Fire speed and damage have been improved to make having the starting pistol a bit more rewarding. Combined with the sound changes above, these tweaks make the guns sound a bit more like the Mustang and Sally from Black Ops 1.

Enter 99
- Agregado a Mystery Box

snipers with scopes
- Added to Mystery Box accordingly: Scoped Springfield is in Verruckt, Scoped Arisaka is in Shi No Numa, Scoped Mosin is in Der Riese, and Scoped Kar98k remains in Nacht
- Clean names for greater historical accuracy. They all have identical relevant stats in terms of relevant damage, range, ammo, etc. They all have unique textures on the scope.
- (Updated) New variants with my own custom names, camos and stats based on a mix of updated Kar98k and PTRS-41

weapon changes

I modded a lot of the existing weapons, usually for balance reasons because Treyarch wasn't granting the proper hits, upgraded weapons didn't have a correctly calculated ammo pool (they ended up with half the magazines), some weapons were buggy or I want the mine. personal settings.

.357 magnum
- Reserve ammo reduced from 80 to 78, so it's actually divisible by weapon capacity (6)
- (Improved) Damage slightly improved
- (Improved) Rate of fire slightly increased
- (Improved) Reserve ammo increased from 80 to 90, so you get a decent ammo bonus on upgrade

Kar98k
- Fixed missing Bowie knife sound when stabbing with this weapon
- (Updated) Fixed missing mouth flash effect
- (Improved) Reserve ammo increased from 60 to 64, so it's actually divisible by the magazine capacity (8)

rifle 43
- (Improved) Reserve ammo increased from 170 to 180, so it's actually divisible by the magazine capacity (12)

Carabina M1A1
- M1 carbine renamed for historical accuracy (standard non-folding variant)
- Slightly toned down damage, as this weapon should be similar, if not worse, in raw damage than the M1 Garand
- Slightly improved mobility to better suit this weapon as it is lighter than other real life rifles
- (Update) Magazine size increased from 15 to 30, so you actually get a decent ammo bonus on update

Garand M1
- Slightly improved base rifle damage
- Slightly improved weapon spread accuracy to balance with the Rifle Grenade version (making the rifle "heavier")
- (Improved) Reserve ammo increased from 150 to 156, so it's actually divisible by the magazine capacity (12)
- (Improved) Slightly improved headshot multiplier, making it the highest of any normal semi-automatic rifle, befitting its WWII superiority

M1 Garand with launcher
- Slightly improved base rifle damage
- Decreased mobility to compensate for rifle grenades.
- Decreased max ammo to match the regular M1 Garand and make up for rifle grenades
- When equipping the launcher, the name changes to the name of the grenade, M17 Rifle Grenade, for historical accuracy
- (Improved) Max ammo has been lowered to match the regular M1 Garand and to compensate for the extra rifle grenades

- (Improved) Reserve ammo increased from 60 to 70, so you get a decent ammo bonus on upgrade
- Discarded (improved) variant created by Treyarch

grabenkanona
- (Update) Increased stock ammo from 60 to 70 so you get a decent ammo bonus on update

thompson
- Renamed M1A1 Thompson for historical accuracy
- (Improved) Increased reserve ammo from 250 to 280, so it's actually divisible by the magazine capacity (40).

MP40
- (Update) Increased reserve ammo from 192 to 256 so you get a decent ammo bonus on update

Enter 100
- Fixed dry fire sound effect not being SMG sound effect
- Reserve ammo increased from 160 to 180, so it's actually divisible by the magazine capacity (30).
- (Improved) Increased reserve ammo from 220 to 240, so it's actually divisible by the magazine capacity (60).
- (Updated) Updated weapon model and first person model with the new Pack-a-Punch texture, as for some reason this weapon still used the original silver Treyarch texture (less shiny, only found on dropped weapons)

PPSh-41
- (Improved) Reserve ammo reduced from 700 to 690, so it's actually divisible by the battery magazine capacity (115)

STG-44
- Fixed capitalization of "t" to lowercase for historical accuracy

BAR
- Renamed M1918 BAR for historical accuracy
- Slightly reduced mobility to better match your weapon category

FG42
- Updated view model to look more complete when playing with higher FOVs

Golden M1919
- Name changed to M1919 Browning for historical accuracy
- (Updated) Fixed capitalization in name
- (Update) Like the MG42, the Browning now gains a 3.5x damage multiplier when upgrading

MG42
- Reduced battery charger capacity from 125 to 100 to distinguish Browning's outdated version, which also better represents its historically accurate lower capacity

PTRS-41
- Reserve ammo has been reduced to a max of 50 instead of 60 to match other similar rifles and also to make the improved reserve ammo feel more deserved.
- Now plays Cut Sniper VOX instead of PPSH VOX, which also makes PPSH VOX more special since it's just a weapon.
- (Improved) Reserve ammo increased from 60 to 64, so it's actually divisible by the magazine capacity (8)

M2 Flamenwerfer
- Fixed knife lag
- Fixed ADS crashes when changing ADS settings
- Fixed missing Bowie knife sound when stabbing with this weapon

Messer
- Knife thrust is smoother and occurs less frequently.

betty hinchable
- Delay reduced from 2 seconds to 1 second before activation
- Fixed capitalization in instruction tooltips

flirtatious molotov
- Gained a significant profit. They are now moderately better than normal grenades, but still not as useful as Monkey Bombs.

Stielhandgranate
- Fixed plurality in track chain.
- Grenade Suicide no longer magically gives you an extra grenade when you fall into Last Stand

ray gun
- (Updated) Fixed Ray Gun VOX not playing
- (Improved) Fixed last position giving you more than one ammo shell

Wunderwaffe DG-2
- Does not remove Jugger-Nog's health buff in any way.

mystery box
- Changed the hint text to say "use Mystery Box" instead of "for a random weapon".
- Ray Gun is now available in the first Mystery Box location on all maps, and you don't need to get a teddy bear first.
- The 43 rifle and the regular M1 Garand are no longer excluded from the box

last resort pistol
- Solo Revive: improved starting weapon (range: Ray Gun, default)
- Buy: Starter Gun (Level: Ray Gun, Explosive Gun, .357, Standard)
- If the player has a pistol before discarding that is better than the default pistol, that pistol will overwrite it while downed. Enhanced variants take precedence over their regular counterparts, as expected
- Ammunition: the player receives 3 magazines for normal pistols and only 1 cartridge for upgraded and non-upgraded Ray Gun

  • Added unused jap_run_v5 animation (rarely occurs).
  • Added unused jap_run_v6 animation (rarely occurs).
  • Added unused swamp perk machine textures from the game files.
  • Added the Cut Hellhound Round Start "howl" sound that was only used in the PS3 version.
  • Benefit tips now have unique messages like other cards.
  • Hellhound's functionality includes improvements on future maps, including a health buff, but slightly lower than The Giant to not account for a hit.
  • Carpenter VOX uses additional repurposed lines originally manufactured for general barrier repair.
  • When picking up a power-up, characters choose between 3 lanes instead of 1.
  • Opening the second or third hut has a 50% chance that the next player will comment on the perk randomization.
  • When an advantage is decided, the closest player in a small radius around the advantage calls out the name of the advantage.

[fence]

The giant

  • The view file has been modified to give the map a darker, bluer tint instead of the original gray-green look.
  • Updated the "Mission Introduction" in the lower left corner to include the exact date of the story.
  • Added an unused walk_v9 animation. (Used Black Ops 1)
  • Added unused run_v1 animation (rarely occurs). (Used in IOS version)
  • Added the fifth unused Maxis radio from the game files. (Used in IOS version)
  • The Giant Easter Egg/Plot Changes and Additions:
    • Increased the VOX percentage chance when interacting with Easter Egg items and added an unused Takeo line to the corkboard loop. (50% chance)

    • The Flytrap Easter Egg now appears on a random power-up as a reward.
    • When landing on an advantage, you will randomly receive one, two or three "+10 points" instead of always "+25". This not only adds a nice twist and reflects how every perk is supposedly worth "10 cents", but it also fixes an issue where WaW was only showing points rounded to the nearest tenth, meaning a player thought they might have more points than he actually has
  • Increased VOX rates of PaP "wait" to play 50% refresh time instead of 8% more like in future zombie games.
  • Fixed Pack-a-Punch VOX so players no longer talk about getting to the open door when all teleporters are connected.
  • Added several unused VOX lines when a player picks up the Carpenter power-up.
  • VOX Surrounded by Players now also plays alone, but with no responses from other characters and with a lower percentage chance.
  • Players no longer receive a free Colt if they have 0 weapons when they drop a weapon in the drilling machine, instead the screen goes blank, similar to future zombie games.
  • Removed the teleporter vision effect that causes the FOV to reset to 65.
